no average lifespan on record... survival actually depends on the progression of the disease. if you are careful enough with the foods you eat and strain yourself less... you will have a better chance of survival..... you may have harder times when breathing and your body parts may sometimes fell numb.. that's because your heart pumps little blood but nothing to worry.... its the obvious symptom.

This is almost impossible to predict, as there are a host of things that could go wrong very quickly -- causing exacerbations of failure and quite possibly, death. Probably the most compelling is the fact that this person's ejection fraction is only 15%. This alone poses a great danger to the patient, and life expectancy. However, if this person also has a host of other conditions (diabetes, cholesterol problems, etc., etc) then life expectancy can certainly be lessened. What I can't offer is an absolute -- like telling you that he/she only has 6-12 months to live. That is highly dependent on so many other factors, and if they are considered to be "stable" with any chronic conditions. Best of luck!

The real problem is this is a disease you can't recover from. You can't exercise there is no way to fix it. So really its just a matter of time but there are too many variables. Its not a virus with a normal progression it can't be clocked. Sorry :(

Seems like we both have the same problem., except my ejection fraction is 20%. I also have a pacemaker, defibrillator implanted into my chest. and have spend many days this year in the hospital in v-tac. Has your unit ever discharged mine has on many occasions, most in a row is 5 after the forth shock I said someone please shoot me. The average lifespan for you and I is probably a bit shorter then the average person but we shouldn't worry about it, there is only so much you can do. Best thing to do is live each day here on earth as of it was your last and let nature take it's course. Good Luck iggy465
