Is Cardiovascular (/heart) disease dependent on race or ethnicity?
If so, is there a reason behind it?

It is much more common with African-Americans and Native Americans (especially minority women). With Native Americans, it is usually a result of a poor diet, which often leads to diabetes. With African Americans, it is also related to poor diet and unhealthy habits, but it tends to be a genetic issue as well

My case is heredity. Not overweight, consume very little salt, don't smoke or drink. Docs don't have an answer just scratch their heads. All tests show that I should not have a problem. Oh well

It is more dependent on family history, If your mother or father have it then you are at higher risk

Yes, to some extent, but greater role is played by Hereditary, age & Life style. However persistent stress in modern style life style cannot be overlooked
