My husband has heart disease and is saying he is having numbness in his toes- What could this be?

Could be all sorts of things. If he has reduced cardiac function he may have reduced peripheral perfusion (lack of blood). This may make his toes cold, numb or painful, shiny.

This is not normally a sign of an impending heart attack. Numbness is a sign of stroke but, more commonly, it is caused by damaged capillaries. The cause could be diabetes, peripheral profusion or general bad circulation caused by clogged arteries
