How could you test your hypothesis...? Well, you would conduct major scientific studies with large control groups followed over time. Oh, wait. That's already been done. Several times. And the answers are still inconclusive.

Add to that kidney failure as well----I frequently read my patients medical histories when I worked as a hemodialysis nurse and found a large number of our black patients had a history of alcohol and or substance abuse.-----this of course is not a scientific study as I only worked in that area for about 8 months before moving to intensive care
