Does meat eating cause heart disease

Does meat eating cause heart disease?
I have thought for a long time that meat eaters are at risk of heart attacks. The age of people getting heart attacks is getting younger all the time. Vegetarians look younger and are generally healthier.

meat is ok as long as you don't over indulge. Also they say its red meat that you shouldn't eat to much as this can cause health problems and to eat more white meat which is alot better for you. xxx

red meat does, it leads to blood clogs and all sorts of nasty things. but surely you arent a pure carnivore so its ok if you dont over do it and still eat your veggies

Not just meat eating but also consumption of dairy products.Do a google on The China Study which is a 30 year study on the effects of consuming animal products. Seventh Day Adventists who are mostly vegetarian have an average life span 7 years longer than the general population. So there seems to be quite a bit of evidence to back up many of the health claims which have been floating round for years
