Cancer and heart disease are prevalent around the world, not just in the United States. Both conditions are linked to the aging process, as most cancer and heart disease cases emerge after age 60. Everyone eventually dies of something, it is inevitable. The great concern is with PREMATURE death from these causes. Persons under age 60 who develop cancer and heart disease are the real issue. Medical costs in the United States are primarily driven by America's chaotic legal and health insurance systems. At least 80% of every dollar spent on health care in America is eventually going to attorneys, litigation settlements, malpractice insurance, patent protection, pharmacy company profits, medical billing services, insurance companies, and ancillary office services. Patients receive very little benefit from the American health care system, it is really just a huge business employing millions of people and making profits for companies
