He should be getting medical advice from his doctor. He needs to have this problem addressed and treated.
2 :
what does his doctor tell him? if he hasn't see one tell him to go get checked out. now you and him can go to a heath food store and get some vitamins he can take Garlic for the heart Cinnamon to regulate the sugar in his system, fish oil for heart disease Drink plenty of water with vitamins and through out the day walk for 30 minutes a day Eat healthy vegetables and fruits stop eating after 7 pm

Yes, it would help breath if you can fall asleep on your back, but your body will unconsciously roll and change position while you sleep. And it is most likely not while he is sleeping that he has problems, but while standing up, or rising to a stand from a seated position. My father had a very slow heart rate and he wasn't getting sufficient oxygen pumping through his system. He also would keel over from lack of oxygen. (Even fell off the roof one time!) He was finally implanted with a pacemaker to increase his heart rate and didn't have any more problems for five years before he had a myocardial infarct at age 81. If your dad hasn't seen a doctor yet about the fainting, do encourage him to do so very soon. He is flirting with stroke and heart attack. He may be on a Beta Blocker that slows down the heart rate. There are other bp meds that do not have that effect. It may be that with surgical intervention he could live with this for another twenty years. Additionally, he should NOT be driving until his condition changes. Babe

Hi Dmorgan9.., You must be loved by your dad. You are so caring and supportive of your dad. When we get old we will get this type of disorders. There could be many reasons for his disorder. Some of them are 1. Heart failure 2. Anaemia 3. Arterial disease 4. Lung diseases 5. Brain tumours etc. The best thing is for your dad to see a doctor. You can assist him by saying, Dad can we see your doctor together. Finally, please consider learning CPR if something should happen to your beloved dad and he loses consciousness. Good luck.

I am a heart patient also. I've had four heart attacks now, had six bypasses and have three stints put in, been given about six years if everything goes O.K. in the first place if he's a heart patient, does he take blood pressure pills, they may be to strong for him. I take Tenorman, I have to cut them in half at the doctors orders, I get light headed and see double otherwise. He should be taking one aspirin a day. Did he have his heart checked lately, like within the last few weeks ? what other meds is he on and what type of heart problem does he have ? Check his meds and call the doctor.

Get him to a doctor soon. He may be developing occlusion of the main artery in his neck. This can lead to stroke and other embolisms. Need to know about meds before any advice but he should be seen by a doctor soon. He's got a good 20 years in him yet, don't lose out

is there a hope for children born with congenital heart disease

is there a hope for children born with congenital heart disease?

1 :
Yes. There are surgeries that can be performed to correct alot of them and allow the children to live full, normal lives and sometimes a transplant is required if the condition is severe enough but not too severe where nothing can be done.
2 :
well..it depends on the overall health of the baby.in case of preterm or premature babies or any other physical abnornality, survival chances decreases but still most of the time they make it through....isolated cases of heart anomalies r quite successfully treated these days......but the type of congenital anomaly is also an imp. influencing factor affecting the prognosis.
3 :
ive had one all my life and in my teens it started to become a problem. they didnt even know about it! so YES of course theres hope.
4 :
Absolutely! I have Single Ventricle, and I had 3 open heart surgeries. I'm doing fine now, and when I was a baby the surgery was relatively new. Advancements are made constantly, and there is SO MUCH hope. If you want to talk about it, e-mail me!

In my opinion Libneralsim as it destroys more lives than the others combined, and has been determined to be an early sign of brain cancer so I have read, in the Real American Journal of Mental Health
2 :
Liberalism. It's far more dangerous to civilized, productive society than all the others combined.
3 :
Baldness.

If you lost someone to either, you wouldn't think this is funny

Do people who eat habaneros, chili peppers and other really hot foods have a reduced risk for heart disease

Do people who eat habaneros, chili peppers and other really hot foods have a reduced risk for heart disease?
What is the scientific basis for the same if any?

Peppers, onions and garlic and such are really healthy foods that work well for preventing certain types of cancers and possibly treating as well. The scientific basis is the antioxidants and other such things in it. I would recommend a book called "the new healing herbs" it is chock full of info and it is all based on scientific evidence

Do subhuman primates (Gorillas, Apes, etc.) suffer from coronary heart disease

Do subhuman primates (Gorillas, Apes, etc.) suffer from coronary heart disease?
Obviously the answer is "yes" but any idea on numbers or percentages compared to humans that can have artificial diets and sedentary lifestyles?
Heart Diseases - -57 Answers

1 :
nope. they do not eat cooked and trans fat.
2 :
Primates are closest to humans in many ways that cause diseases. Heart diseases are not an exception. Though diet based/atherosclerotic heart problems are not common in primates, there are other causes such as congenital coronary abnormalities and coronary spasm do occur in primates resulting in heart attacks. There is no comprehensive study done in this realm and available sources are sketchy
