Heart disease (Congenital heart defects) and hot tube question

Heart disease (Congenital heart defects) and hot tube question? ?
I have a daughter who has very complex heart defects (also called heart disease) and I read somewhere, that if you have a heart problem you should not go into a hot tube? Is that right? If so, what does it do to heart patients?

That is right, no hot tub or sauna. It stresses the heart, and can cause death.

That isn't universal to all heart defects. Being in a hot tub will stress the heart, but so will eating. You can't avoid everything that can stress the heart. Consider that I have a severe heart condition, and when I stay in the hospital they give me the regular menu to order food from even though almost all heart patients get to order off a more limited menu due to salt requirements. The point is despite my heart condition I'm in good health so I'm allowed to do things that are not recommended for heart patients. It is best to ask your doctor that question to find out what is realistic for treatment of your daughter. There is no one answer for all people in a situation
