I'm your age and skinny too! I was diagnosed with S.V.T. last week:( . It's where my heart can suddenly start really fast. even when i'm just sitting and watching t.v.! it's common, so go see a doctor. so yeah, i'm proof it IS possible. lol

I face the same thing too! I can be suddenly afraid of something, heart beat fast, even i'm just relaxing, or cooking....that's weird. When i went for a check-up, the doc told me that my heart beat is fine and regular!

Yes it is possible, but not likely that it is a serious heart problem especially if you are not born with it or have had some sickness like endocriatis. But it IS possible. I am 16 years old, also skinny(im 5ft, 90lbs) and i was born with 2 congenital heart defects called Bicuspid Aortic valve and Aortic stenosis, then when i was 10 i developed a complication of those two heart problems, called aortic regurgition(which is another heart problem that developed because of my two pre existing problems) and at 14 i developed an enlarged aorta(another heart problem that is a complication of bicuspid aortic valve). I will need open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve, and the aorta above it. I go to my cardiologist in a few weeks to check my heart, see if its stable or if i need heart surgery now. Also i go to camp for kids with heart disease. The kids are between 8 and 17, and they all have heart disease, most have had many surgeries and are on lots of meds and some have even had heart transplants or passed away. So its very possible to have a heart problem, No it is not likely it is serious unless you were born with it, its most likely something like SVT which can occur in otherwise healthy kids, adolecents or adults. most people will live a normal life
