Impending heart attack...not good.
2 :
symptom of diabetes..
3 :
go ask a doctor
4 :
Could be all sorts of things. If he has reduced cardiac function he may have reduced peripheral perfusion (lack of blood). This may make his toes cold, numb or painful, shiny.
5 :
This is not normally a sign of an impending heart attack. Numbness is a sign of stroke but, more commonly, it is caused by damaged capillaries. The cause could be diabetes, peripheral profusion or general bad circulation caused by clogged arteries

You do realize that you're lucky to be alive right now, right? Aortic Dissection is a rare and deadly condition. No, honey, I haven't gone through anything like this, I had a heart attack 4 years ago, and I have a stent in my LAD, but nothing in comparison to what you're going through. I'm so sorry. Your body is struggling to recover from the procedures you've had, and your immune system may not be very strong right now. Take good care of your health, and follow the doctors oorders and you might be feeling better in time. You have to consider what you've been through, and give your body a chance. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there. Info on Aortic Dissection: http://www.vdf.org/diseaseinfo/ad/

I had open heart surgery twice in oneday 1st for an aortic valve replacement and to have my aorta replaced with a dacron graft so that I didnt dissect like you...Boy are you lucky to be alive man!...I still go and get check ups but I dont feel unwell. Have you visited the Aortic Dissection website?...have a look there...Brian who runs it would be pleased to chat with you. Its still relatively early days for you...you will feel better a s days and months go on...you need to keep a look out for feelings of depression which are really common after this sort of thing. I wish you well...take care and start enjoying life again... http://www.aorticdissection.com

It really depends on the type. Some are very mild and just need to be monitored - some are very serious and are progressive. It would be easier to get information if you know which condition he has.
2 :
the effect on his life will depend on the type of heart disease and the measures he takes to prevent more damage and reverse the current damage
3 :
Heart disease does not go away, but depending on what it is, perhaps it can be controlled with medication. Millions of people live with heart issues everyday. Don't be so obsessed ... continue being the same person you have always been to your friend, and support them through it. They will appreciate your calmness, support, and friendship. What they don't need is a crazy person who is falling apart when they are trying to deal with their issue. Relax ... Pray for your friend, and pray that God will calm your heart ... Talk with your folks ... I'm sure they will support you.
4 :
It just depends on what kind of heart disease he has. What is his problem?
5 :
the answer to your 1st question is he could die the answer to your 2nd No but it can be treated with the right medicine and diet. the answer to your 3rd. Yes it can if nothing is done with the problem Im not trying to scare you but you need to do research on Heart Disease and get educated
6 :
I have no right to say much about this because this is the internet. You'll have to learn to accept the things you are given in life. Depending on how bad the heart disease, depends on how bad the symptoms are. Show him your support, not us.
7 :
it depends if she eats well or she doesn't

Is there no cure for a Right Heart Failure diagnosed from an Enlargement of the Heart Disease

Is there no cure for a Right Heart Failure diagnosed from an Enlargement of the Heart Disease?

Most of the time only the heart failure itself is treated with diuretics and or beta blockers or even lanoxin or other drugs to help pumping function of the heart. Once the damage is done, there is no cure, only treatment and prevention to prevent active heart failure unless you are a candidate for heart transplant, in which case all factors causing the heart failure would have to be treated individually if they are treatable prior to transplant. Avoid sodium, restrict fluids to less than a liter a day if possible, keep blood pressure under control. Walk daily for 20 minutes if ok with doctor to strengthen heart muscle.See a doctor you are satisfied with who treats you like a person and not another case. Get an echo if not already done to determine ejection fraction and other hemodynamics.
2 :
There is no cure for heart failure, however there many treatments available that treat symptoms and delay the progress of the disease

3 :
Oxygen is the #1 drug of choice for Ischemic heart disease. Drugs such as adrenaline can increase heart rate and strength of contractions, although also promote tachyarrhythmias Nitrates are the mainstay of treatment. There are many forms of nitrates, and rapid-acting ones are the DOC for acute anginal attacks. Oral nitrates may be used for prophylaxis, as may the nitroglycerine patch. Whenever nitrates are used, it is important to have a nitrate-free interval (12 hours) so that tolerance does not develop to this class of drugs. Adverse reactions common to nitrates include hypotension, headaches, flushing, and nausea. Agents and time to onset follow: Drug Time to onset (min) Nitroglycerine IV 1-2 Sublingual 1-3 Spray 1-3 Buccal 2-5 PO 30-40 Ointment 20-60 Patch 40-60
4 :
That is up to your cardiologist
5 :
Easy question. ACE-Inhibitors and Beta Blockers. They prevents cardiac remodeling after an MI. Helps to keep it from progressing to CHF.
6 :
"Ischemic (or ischaemic) heart disease" means that some part of your heart is not getting adequate blood supply. This causes the low oxygen supply. This can happen as a result of coronary artery disease or a heart attack--there may be other causes, too, that this guesser doesn't know about. In many cases the heart takes care of itself by growing new blood vessels, or collateral vessels, to bypass the problem area and provide the blood the deprived part of the heart needs. In the meantime, medical treatment of the underlying cause should be initiated as appropriate. For CAD, a statin drug like Lipitor or Pravacol is appropriate along with aspirin, exercise and dietary changes. If a mild heart attack is the culprit (and I say "mild" because if it were anything but mild you wouldn't be asking about drugs, you'd have been operated on already!), the above plus something like Plavix might be in order

a friend of mine has hearing loss from a car wreck, im not downplaying it in any way,but how is it that he can possibly get out from it, and all i get is crap when i have coronary artery disease, copd and emphysema? i hate the fu%*ing army!!

in army a person with hearing loss can't hear the command, but if you can hear, see or move they dnt care any other disease.
2 :
I have a son in the Army and I understand that the 'Army way' does not always make sense. For example the military is only now beginning to accept the diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Depending upon what you do in the Army and the severity of your coronary artery disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease it is possible to receive an honorable discharge. It might require you to seek the opinion of a civilian physician as opposed to an Army physician. I wish you the very best of health and in all things may God bless
