Tell me why you do or don't think it does or doesn't. The tabacco industry was once as powerful as the oil industry in the United States. They used the same kind of arguments and tactics against their detractors that we see the oil industry using against global warming scientists today. Today some thirty to forty years later we find an almost 100% agreement that smoking is the major cause of disease. What will the future bring for climate change in a couple of decades?

I don't. I also do not believe in climate change. Or gravity.

Fiscally speaking, be thankful that it does. Healthy people cost far, far more to social security and medicare, since they live so much longer and draw far more payments from the pools. Health and old age = expense to working ranks. By the way, I am not you wearing a suit of armor.

I smoke - but contrary to popular belief, we smokers know it's bad for us. I believe there is enough conclusive evidence that cigarettes cause health problems that it is true.

I think cancer is genetic, not saying outside influences doesn't speed it up if your susceptible to getting it. Some people smoke their entire lives and never get cancer, others never smoke and cancer still kills them. There are a lot of things that are genetic, if it's in your genes chances are you'll get it no matter what you do. Heart disease is a fairly new illness, it started at the beginning of the twentieth century because of preservatives in food. Before that there wasn't such a thing as heart disease.

I think the tobacco sold now does cause cancer because it's been altered by all the chemicals and compounds that have been placed in it over the years. I dont think you can find a pure form of tobacco as it was before chemicals were used on it in Ameica anymore.

Yes smoking doesn't cancer it just happens that 98% of the time people diagnosed with lung cancer have been hardcore smokers for decades on in. It's absurd to say that it doesn't cause cancer because it does. That's a fact.

I think it does, with both personal experience and studies on ingredients backing me up.

Sometimes, sometimes not. Some people are predisposed to get cancer, some heart disease. Medically speaking.

Even if it didn't. smoking is disgusting. Imagine, 300 million non smoking Americans... wow, Healthcare costs would plummet
