No. Sometimes severe anxiety may make you feel like you're having palpitations or irregular heart beat. But it doesn't directly lead to heart disease. Although, over long periods of time (usually decades), the higher anxiety levels which can cause higher levels of stress hormone production (cortisol) is not good for you. High stress hormone levels can cause weight gain in the mid section of the torso and excess fat around your organs. The hormones and the fat can then cause increased risk of a variety of inflammatory conditions as well as things like diabetes, which are both bad for your vessels and heart.

You can end up having a heart attack or stroke.I ended up in hospital with heart problems due when I was 25 due to severe stress, break up, misscarriage and ilness of my mother and debt.It was all to much. Its imprtant to learn how to deal with anxiety/panic disorders.

The short answer is eventually it is possible. The better answer is that you should be concentrating on how well you otherwise are, and how to get better. Not ruminating about what could be, and conditions you dont have.. you have enough on your plate without worrying about extra stuff
