how is cardiovascular disease and congestive heart failure different

how is cardiovascular disease and congestive heart failure different?
After my daughter's baby was born 8 years ago, my daughter had congestive heart failure. She had another baby 2 years later. My daughter had high blood pressure. She passed away Dec 23, 2009, 2 days before her 36th birthday. We just found out yesterday she died of a heart attack, caused by cardiovascular disease and somehow asthma played a part. I need your help trying to understand this, please My daughter was diagnosed with a heart murmur when she was a child

The fact that she had asthma is very strongly indicative of the fact that she was NOT breast fed for 2 years and was fed solid food before she was 2 years old to allow the "inner lumen" of her intestines to fully develop to give her good immunity. Congestive heart failure can be due to the heart becoming weak and giving a false signal to the kidneys that she was dehydrated. This causes the kidney to shut down and fluid to build up in the lungs. When this happens, that could have created an asthma event as well. Cardiovascular disease is caused by the blood becoming sticky as a result of homocystein proteins being generated in the blood due to deficiencies of vitamin B-6, B-12, and Folic acid. I also strongly suspect she had acid indigestion issues as well as a result of low stomach acid that allowed the nanobacteria to get into her body. This bacteria is a major cause of inflammation in the arteries around the heart where calcium builds up around the bacteria creating hardening of the arteries. This bacteria also attacks the kidneys and / or the pancreas. The heart murmur itself most likely was not the primary event, but could have contributed to the weak heart condition. All these events are guesses and without more information difficult to say how each of these events actually happened, but it certainly is plausible based on what you said in your question. good luck to you

A few years ago, I lost my brother due to suicide. I watched my mom in dire agony. I am so sorry for your loss. You have some other hearts to help take care of now. There is no greater loss than the loss of your child; bar none. Best of luck to you

Is heart disease the main killer of Americans? Or do Americans kill themselves slowly

Is heart disease the main killer of Americans? Or do Americans kill themselves slowly?
by going to Popeye's instead of the gym?

Both are right. Heart disease is largely preventable by exercising, eating well, and not smoking. Americans are slowing killing themselves by not keeping heart disease away

What is a good thesis statement for a heart disease term paper

What is a good thesis statement for a heart disease term paper?

Angioplasty has proven to be no more effective than drug treatment. Its true

OK, I love doing thesis statements. First you must take what you are writing for example a five paragraph paper on your topic heart disease. The first paragraph will be intro, the next three would be body and the last would be conclusion. You must take the three paragraphs and formulate a three part thesis. Say your first body paragraph is about the causes, the next one is about the affect it has on life, and the last body paragraph is about the prevention. You would formulate a balance thesis. Here it is: an example of course... Heart disease is a major medical factor in this country because of its causes, the extreme effect it has on life, and the limited treatment available for its prevention.
4 :
Is it possible for a heart worm to jump the genetic barrier between canine and homosapien?
5 :
Heart disease kills (insert statistic here) Americans annually. High blood pressure, the "silent killer," is a risk factor for heart disease that continues to be inadequately detected and treated..... You can go on to explore specific data about high blood pressure, guidelines for treatment, goals for treatment, and ethnic differences in rates of BP control. Choose one area to single out and estimate how much the death rate could be lowered if BP treatment was better. If you don't like BP, you could do another risk factor like diabetes, cholesterol, or smoking.
6 :
The focus of your idea about the subject will be a good and strong statement.
7 :
Hello dtred! First, regardless of your writing subject, your thesis must contain opinion without containing the words "I" or any other form of the first person. The thesis statement cannot contain fact only; it must also include opinion. Having stated that, I would now ask, what aspect of heart disease are you most interested in? causes, treatments, prevention, making life-style changes to protect one's own heart? Once you have decided that, you can begin to brainstorm for ideas with that field. Here is an example of something that I would be interested in writing about, and good writing comes from an interested writer. There are two major types of heart defibrillators that have saved millions of lives today. One is an internal one. It is like a pacemaker but is slightly more sophisticated and is used for people who have heart arrythmia problems rather than heart vessel blockage. The other type is an external defibrillator. This is the type of device being installed in airports, schools, and other public places. A possible thesis sentence might be "External Defibrillators can save thousands of lives each year if (enter your state's name) requires them to be installed in all public buildings and offers public training through fire departments and in schools on how to use them." There would be plenty of information online to help you. Careful!! No plagiarism!!! Paraphrase the words, i.e. put them into your own words. Be sure to list references if your teacher requests them. Good luck! Joyce

Heart Disease - Can it affect your memory

Heart Disease - Can it affect your memory?
Does anyone know if heart disease can actually affect your memory - more specifically your ability to use your brain?
Heart Diseases - 4 Answers

1 :
yes, because less 'clean' blood to brain
2 :
The blockages in the heart, the cholesterol, clog up in the brain too. Thats where strokes come from. A healthy heart diet, is good for everything.
3 :
No but the drugs they prescribe for cholesterol definitely can cause poor memory and even TGA (total global amnesia). If you are on a statin, and I bet you are, please spend an hour on this website. www.spacedoc.net It is run by an MD/astronaut who contracted TGA, twice from Lipitor. Pharmacist who's life was almost ruined by Lipitor. If I did not know the true side effects, how could you?
4 :
There are many different types of heart disease, and they can effect the brain and brain function in different ways. If the heart muscle is weak, there could be decreased blood flow to the brain. If the problem is blocked or narrowed arteries, the same condition may exist in the brain and/or the vessels leading to the brain as well. If the heart is an an abnormal rhythm called atrial fibrillation, it can throw blood clots to the brain causing damage. Often this results in a TIA (mini-stroke) or in a full-blown stroke. Other times, the damage can be more subtle but the cumulative damage can have quite a major impact on mental functions. One respondent made reference to the possibility of cholesterol-lowering drugs in the "statin" class causing memory and cognitive problems. This does most certainly occur, but it is quite unusual. Other medications used to treat heart problems, such as beta blockers, can have significant effects on thought processes. I don't know the age of the person (you?) having this problem, but an older person could also be developing Minimal Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early Alzheimer's Disease. The person in question should most certainly raise this issue with his/her doctor. Good luck

I am trying to find an article that I have seen before that shows anxiety to be a symtom of heart disease

I am trying to find an article that I have seen before that shows anxiety to be a symtom of heart disease.?
The article mentioned adrenaline increasing in patients to make up for the job the hear is not doing. It mentioned the use of beta blocker to help decrease the symptom of anxiety that the heart causes. Can anyone help me find it again?

1 :
Go to google search and enter the words, "effect of noradrenaline on Heart Rate". You will find many articles there.
2 :
Do you have heart disease or are you just anxious?
3 :
Factors disposing to coronary thrombosis are sedentary life and lack of exercise, overeating, cigarette smoking and mental stress and strain.
4 :
The first link article doesn't mention adrenaline which can have the effect of increasing the heart rate. University of Sydney professor of cardiology Ben Freedman from Sydney's Concord hospital, said "If you have a high heart rate there was an increase in heart attack, there was about a 46 percent increase in hospitalizations for non-fatal or fatal heart attack." and... A 1990 to 2002 British study of 57,615 patients diagnosed with panic and anxiety attacks disorder and 347,000 patients without symptoms of anxiety attacks found a few surprising links between heart attacks and panic attacks. Heart disease was more prevalent among everyone recently diagnosed with panic attack disorder. Heart disease for panic anxiety patients under 50 was especially high, as were female participants from 16 to 40 years of age.
5 :
The person who has written that article does not know that Anxiety states cause acute Myocardial Infraction. Than a vicious circle of SECONDARY anxiety begins, eventually leading to poor prognosis

Can sadness, anger, or stress, cause heart disease such as heart failure

Can sadness, anger, or stress, cause heart disease such as heart failure?
I have seen people going through divorce or in failing marriages develope health problems, so I was wondering.

1 :
of course stress causes many problems in a human body which could lead to heart failure and dpression can do the same ur body just cant function properly anymore and it gives up because the person seems to have (probably not but u get my point) and anger usually leads to both stress and sadness so ya
2 :
Certainly, Stress release can release "fight or flight" hormones such as cortisol which stimulate the entire circulatory system. This prolonged exposure to these hormones can cause devastating harm to the human body.
3 :
I think it all depends on if you take care of yourself. If you eat healthy and exercise daily then you're less likely to get heart disease even with stress, etc

when will cholesterol be vindicated from its reputation as the supposed "cause" of heart disease

when will cholesterol be vindicated from its reputation as the supposed "cause" of heart disease?
When do you think it will, or won't it?
Heart Diseases - 3 Answers

1 :
Frankly I think in the medical profession, that has been known for sometime. Cholesterol "contributes" to heart disease, it doesn't "cause" heart disease. Dr. Louis Ignarro has won a Nobel prize in medicine for his research into this very subject, and has a formula for very inexpensively treating the root cause of heart disease, with a set of six supplements. He has proven the effectiveness in literally thousands of clinical trials all over the world. But because his formula would significantly cut into the profits of the pharmeceutical companies here, they have spent millions suppressing his work and more millions touting the effectiveness of statins, which do, in my opinion, more harm than good. The information is out there for anyone who wants to be educated about their health.
2 :
No it will never be eliminated as one of the causes but any type of fat is a risk for heart disease, esp. trans fats. Having said that, there always seems to be exceptions. Some people can eat all the fat types of food and it never clogs their arteries so I would have to assume there are some genetic factors involved also. Personally I don't like fat on meat and that is one of the worst kind so I try to eat less fat of all types in my diet.
3 :
I think it already has. I am working more on keeping my blood vessels pliable and strong. It is not so much the cholesterol as it is the condition of your arteries. If they become jagged, then the fat in the blood stream clogs it. So to me, do whatever you can do to keep your arteries healthy. Fish, flax seed, stuff like that. Cutting out excess cholesterol is good to do to but you must do both
