Coronary heart disease usually is caused by uncontrolled problems with cholesterol. The cholesterol causes a "plaque" to form in the arteries. It lumps together causing blockages. Areas this is of particular concern is the arteries leading to the heart, in the carotid arteries, in the brain and the legs. Blockages can be stented to open them up in the heart and the carotids and sometimes in the legs. Blockages can build until the patient experiences a heart attack or a stroke.
2 :
Coronary artery disease may affect the circulation to the heart muscle but it should not by itself affect the body's systemic circulatory system. JR
3 :
the coronary arteries disease ( "cad" ) is where the coronary arteries are blocked , they feed blood to the lower area of the heart that pumps the blood to the outer extremities and lungs

2 :
its pretty simple english do people in your family have heart disease? you know by asking
3 :
He's asking if there are close family members (siblings, parents, or grandparents) who have had heart disease. If you don't know this answer, this is a good time to ask some family members, as a family history indicates a higher risk for you.
4 :
it is a very important question to ask you you can have a heart problem that is heretary i had 21 aunts and uncles die from heart attacks also my mother and brother died of heart attacks my sistrer has had triple bypass and i have had 8 heart surgerys allready so if he asks you you should know what you can about your family
5 :
the doc meant whether any of your relatives or ancestors has a history of heart diseases.
6 :
Hiya Some factors such as Weight or cholesterol, which can cause heart disease run in families, so some people are more prepositioned to suffer from certain heart problems. Some heart diseases are also genetic,. Doctors merely ask this so that they are aware of any factors which could cause any problems, and so they know what to watch out for. There is usually nothing to worry about, though if you are still worried, discuss it with your GP, and he or she should put your mind at ease :) Simply tell your doctor whether any of your family members that you know of have suffered from any heart problems, this should be all the info they need :) Hope I helped :) x

Ask any blood relatives. Your biological mom and dad and siblings are your first degree relatives. Grandparents on both sides of the family. No step parents or step grandparents or adopted people. Aunts and uncles only through your parents blood lines not who they married are counted. cousins, etc. How many heart attacks or heart disease was treated in your blood relatives? Your parents will be able to tell you or ask aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters. Sometimes it is very supprising. Often older people don't talk about health problems, like grandparents. I'm from a family of 9 kids. My adult daughters didn't know my Mother was married twice and that my older brother and sister were my half brother and sister. Why? They were grown and out of the house by the time I remember. I always knew the history. We moved to another state where my girls grew up, was just never mentioned. Smart ass there are so many circumstances in a family. My neice kept telling doctors about her neice who has autism and lots of problems. She never knew she was adopted and so was her brother so she has no blood kin to her brother or neice and their health is not relevant to her health.

Good question. To me it means do you know of any blood relative who has had a heart attact or taking treatment to monitor signs of a bad heart.? With medical improvements persons can find out before a actual heart attact if their heart is pumping improperly. Some times it is a birth defect. Other times a blood clot. Just ask any family member, especially the older ones

Platelets are irregularly-shaped, colorless bodies that are present in blood. Their sticky surface lets them, along with other substances, form clots to stop bleeding. When bleeding from a wound suddenly occurs, the platelets gather at the wound and attempt to block the blood flow. The mineral calcium, vitamin K, and a protein called fibrinogen help the platelets form a clot. CHD is when plaque forms on the walls of the arteries that supply the myocardium, it is a silent killer, most people dont even know they have it, which causes heart attacks.
