heart disease and cancer runs through our family really well , this is very serious , please help?
we found out that in our family heart disease and cancer runs through our family and most of them have died and we just lost another due to this. I am really scared that i will get this ( i know i am a wimp ) but it is very scary because they were in hell lot of pain, How can i prevent this , i am 14 and my mum just recovered from cervical cancer i had my HPV jabs but , still how can i prevent getting cancer and heart disease besides diet and excercise.

The best thing that you can do is eat right and exercise. If it runs in your family its just a part of you. Its in your dna. you inherit it from family. There is a small chance that you may not get it it just depends on so many thing. But just exercise(everyday is best at least 45 mins to one hour a dayis best)but at least a few times a week. Try and stay away from fast food and junk food. Take vitmans. Thats the best thing i can tell you.

meat causes a lot of cancers that is a fact,,and fast food places, its the bad stuff they put in our foods ,,espaction meats just don't eat much meat,,,eat chicken fish and seafood, a dr, told a friend of mine that meat causes cancer,,and micwaves also,,,,,,

You canâ€™t prevent cancer and cervical cancer is not hereditary. The best thing you can do for this is to have annual pap smears. Diet and exercise has no affect on cervical cancer.

Heart conditions/disease awareness fund raisers, or walks

Heart conditions/disease awareness fund raisers, or walks?
I asked this before but I didnt explain. Are there any heart conditions funds or events suchs as walks or marches to raise money for people with heart condition/diseases in children or adults?(Just like the walks for cancer, diabetes and muscular dysrtophy). There are none where I live.

Camp Odayin is a great organization to donate to. Camp odayin is a camp for children with heart disease, it only costs us 25 dollars to go, and children from all over the U.S. even kids from Canada and Germany come. I can say, from first hand experience, that we appreciate donations, with out them we would not be able to to camp for only 25 dollars. We have tons of walks and fundraisers for camp odayin here in Minnesota(where it is located) we just had one yesterday actually. so if your considering donating to a organization for heart disease, then you should look into camp odayin.

My doctor has recommended that I take niacin for my elevated PLA. I am also taking cholestrol meds. I also have a low immunoglobin M result. What is PLA?
