Without vitamin E, we essentially turn rancid. Vitamin E is fat-soluble, that is, able to penetrate the fatty areas of our tissues. As it does so, it neutralizes toxic oxidants and protects oxidant-sensitive membranes. Thus vitamin E is justifiably known as an antioxidant, and for helping to prevent age-associated increases in oxidative insults to our bodies. Fragile red blood cells are a common characteristic of E deficiency. Blood cell membranes, normally protected by E, tend to oxidize and rupture easily. Recent studies indicate vitamin E may help in slowing cognitive decline in Alzheimer's patients, and it may even lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Significant evidence also supports the vitamin as important for protecting tissues from the destructive action of oxidants and consequent disease, including heart disease, cataracts, cancer, neurological disorders and disorders of the muscular system. The incidence of these diseases increases with age. Thus it is important to obtain enough E to attenuate the age-associated destructive process

Does anyone know of any type of heart disease/complication that could kill someone within five years

Does anyone know of any type of heart disease/complication that could kill someone within five years?
serious situation. serious answers only please. i don't know which one in particular. someone very close to me told me there is something wrong with his heart, that will probably kill him by the time he's twenty-seven. but, he doesn't like to talk about it, and i'm scared of what it could be. hm. this person also drastically lost about 145 pounds within two years. don't know if that could strain the heart?

There are so many, is there a particular one that you are interested in?
2 :
Just about any type of heart disease can be fatal if left untreated. If you are worried talk to your doctor.
3 :
Virtually all heart diseases can kill even earlier (if not treated), treatment of cause is a must including life style.
4 :
There are the following kinds of heart diseases: - Coronary Heart Disease - Heart Muscle Disease (Cardiomyopathy) - Cardiovascular Disease - Ischaemic Heart Disease - Hypertensive Heart Disease - Inflammatory Heart Disease - Valvular Heart Disease Note: All the above diseases listed may not be the only reasons responsible for a heart attack and on average five years is a bargain to get in any kind of serious heart related condition. Nonetheless, if a person has drastically lost about 145 pounds within two years then that person should be more concerned for his/her liver. Overall, complete check-ups for any condition related to the kidneys, liver and heart functioning must be followed upon. This individual must give a visit to a Nutritionist as well. Good Health

What exercises aren't suitable for people with coronary heart disease and why

What exercises aren't suitable for people with coronary heart disease and why?

Anything too strenous .
2 :
Strenuos activities such as running, lifting heavy objects more than 5 lbs because this will increase the workload of the heart. As we do this kind of exercise our need for blood supply increases and inorder to compensate the heart will pump more blood the meet the need thus making the heart to work harder...
3 :
Strenuous exercise which causes strain on already weak heart.
4 :
Strenuous exercise , the best exercise is walking

Are all the cancer patients and heart disease patients ready to DIE QUICKLY

Are all the cancer patients and heart disease patients ready to DIE QUICKLY?
Blame the idiots who voted the republicans not me. SO HOW DARE YOU? I have no fucking sympathy just like the republicans. Hey and I have United Health Care, No need to go sit in the medicare office. Just go say goodbye to your family and shut up. White boy making girls get pregnant anyway, You cant get it unless you are 22 and pregnant! Several friends tried getting it. Personal attacks? Go do your research i can back myself up. Unlike you idiots i don't do attacks when i can't back myself up. I hope your wife can go on with Chemo treatments. God bless her. I hope your wife can go on with Chemo treatments. God bless her. Father* God bless him. I am sick also and i can die any die like your father, and i have sense enough to not take any offense to your bullshit comment. You was proof go fetch it motherfucker. Its out their for you to read. Just like i digged it up, You can also. Like i said I hope your father has alot of luck. My closing argument is you can go to HELL, You want proof go fetch it. I wish your father the best of luck in the entire world. He don't deserve to die like anyone else, but with the the way things are looking make sure you spend all your time with him as time may run out. GOD BLESS.

Why 0bama is going to kill them with 0bama care?
2 :
This is just ridiculous. Could you elaborate? If not, pull the question, because it is rude and makes no sense. Oh, so you're saying Republicans want cancer patients and heart disease patients to die quickly? That's nonsense. One reason we oppose Obamacare is because we know sick people will get better care from their private insurers if they are in competition than they will ever get from government-controlled health care. Don't take my word for it, just go sit in a clinic where most patients are on Medicaid or Medicare. We probably treat cattle better. You can't get what until you're 22 and pregnant? Medicare is for seniors. Medicaid is for very poor Americans, I don't know the criteria, it's probably different in every state. What is wrong with you, exactly? You're really off the wall here.
3 :
No I am not ready to die quickly
4 :
sick phuck alan grayson bid for reelection died quickly much to conservatives delight!!!

People : Although I'm a Liberal with a long and well documented YA history of not liking things Republican , the uncivilized person that just posted this question does not represent my views or the views of most Liberals on this site Sorry about his bad behavior For obvious reasons we don't let him out much

what is the difference between a congenital heart defect & heart disease

what is the difference between a congenital heart defect & heart disease?
Also i need statistics on children born with defects, and success rates etc.

Any problem to heart as an organ is Heart disease. Abnormality of heart by birth is is congenital heart defect.
2 :
They are both Heart disease, only Congenital heart defects are heart problems you are born with Congenital heart defects are America’s and every country’s #1 birth defect. Nearly one of every 100 babies is born with a CHD. •Congenital heart defects are the #1 cause of birth defect related deaths. •Congenital heart defects are the leading cause of all infant deaths in the United States. •Each year approximately 40,000 babies are born in the United States with a congenital heart defect. thousands of them will not reach their first birthday and thousands more die before they reach adulthood. •Each year over 1,000,000 babies are born worldwide with a congenital heart defect. 100,000 of them will not live to see their first birthday and thousands more die before they reach adulthood. •The Children’s Heart Foundation is the only organization that was created to exclusively fund congenital heart defect research. •The Children’s Heart Foundation has directed $3.6 million to 37 basic science, translational and clinical CHD research projects at leading research centers across the US and Canada. •CHF has published and distributed 35,000 English and 3,000 Spanish copies of It’s My Heart, a patient and parent resource book. •CHF has established five Chapters and has volunteers in many US states. •Almost half all children and adults with complex congenital heart disease have neurological and developmental disabilities. •There are an estimated 2,000,000 CHD survivors in the United States. •For the first time, more than 50% of the CHD survivors are adults. •10% of all CHD cases evaluated in an Adult CHD clinic are first diagnosed in adulthood. •91,000 life years are lost each year in this country due to congenital heart defects. •The cost for inpatient surgery to repair congenital heart defects exceeds $2.2 billion a year. •More than 50% of all children born with congenital heart defect will require at least one invasive surgery in their lifetime. •There are more than 40 different types of congenital heart defects. Little is known about the cause of most of them. There is no known prevention or cure for any of them. •In the United States, twice as many children die from congenital heart defects each year than from all forms of childhood cancer combined, yet funding for pediatric cancer research is five times higher than funding for CHD. Congenital heart defects are common and deadly, yet CHD research is grossly under-funded relative to the prevalence of the disease. •Only one penny of every dollar donated to the American Heart Association goes towards congenital heart defect research. •Of every dollar the government spends on medical funding only a fraction of a penny is directed toward congenital heart defect research. •The NHLBI has stated that Congenital Heart Defects are a serious and underappreciated global health problem. •In the last decade death rates for congenital heart defects have declined by almost 30% due to advances made through research. If you have any questions on life with a CHD or about specific CHDs feel free to contact me. Im 16 years old and i was born with 2 CHDs, aortic stenosis and bicuspid aortic valve and developed aortic regurgitation at 10 and an enlarged aorta at 14. I also go to camp for kids with heart disease

Does it make sense for public money to be used in fight against aids instead of cancer or heart disease

Does it make sense for public money to be used in fight against aids instead of cancer or heart disease?
Since aids can be prevented 99% of the time by using a condom when having sex and using clean drug needles when using drugs, or better yet not having sex with people you don't know and not using intravenous drugs in the first place.

The answer to the question asked all depends on whether you have Aids or Cancer. Either would affect your point of view! Also, there are other ways of contracting Aids other than drugs and sex. Contaminated blood in medical treatments for a start.
2 :
lol no, because most people in the political, ruling class are sexual deviants so a lot of them have aids and are desperately looking for a cure, but they dont want to spend their money, so they spend our money

Can a 19 year old have heart disease

Can a 19 year old have heart disease?
An in shape, muscular built kid or is that too young?

a 10 year old could have heart disease
2 :
sure. not all that common but it ain't unheard of.
3 :
Yes. It depends what the heart disease is. Babies right through to elderly can have heart dsease.
4 :
any age can have a heart problem. Do you mean an actual disease or heart condition period? i have a one year old sister with a heart murmur.
5 :
no, it's not, if you believe you're having problems go to the doctor. it could be heart disease, or a defect to the heart or any number of things. take care of yourself. better sae than sorry.
6 :
It is definitely possible. See the article below about an 18 year old national champion athlete who died suddenly from undiagnosed heart problems. ``Of mixed Irish and Iranian parentage, the 18-year-old was found dead on the floor of the bathroom one morning by his twin sister. Darius was a healthy, active sportsman and student, full of the vigour of life. "He had participated in the world fencing championships, he was Irish champion, he was part of the team, a brilliant student," says Mary. ``
7 :
Yes but is not as common as say the 50+ age bracket. I had problems with palpitations of the heart when I was 18/19 years old. I had to have ECG's, and consultations with the doctor/cardiologist. I even went to hospital on one occasion because I had got myself into a panic! So yes, you can have disease or problems of your heart at any age. But it is more common in the older patient due to lifestyle issues such as wrong diet and lack of excercise, such as coronary heart disease etc So don't go worrying! If your an in shape muscular built 19 year old, then your doing great! Hope this helps?
8 :
yes , i have heart disaase im 20 got it at 6
9 :
I had a friend who at 21 years old ended up having to have a pacemaker... He is well and doing fine now, but that just goes to show you I guess anyone can have it, even Infants~
10 :
Yes, I have a cousin who was born with a type of heart Disease as well as High blood Pressure. He takes his meds and is okay for the most part, If he'll stop jumping all over the place. Anyways he's now about 10

Coronary artery disease takes years to develop, but x is a dangerous drug and can certainly cause some long term damage even if you only took it once. If your symptoms persist you should get checked by a physician
