There are no advantages, when you have valvular heart disease your blood Doesn't circulate adequately trough you veins and arteries as it recirculate inside the heart, that organ try to compensate the deficiency beating at higher frequency causing a progressive growing of the miocard and eventually a complete shut down of the valves, provoking lung edema and suddenly the death

I don't know anything about the condition, but common sense does tell me that people born with enormailities are more expensive to take care of than "normal" kids. medicines, procedures, doctors visits. itll alll add up.

congenital heart diseases CHD as commonly known as can be of two types, one curable another noncurable. incase of a curable ones where there are chances of survival then the cost can be controlled. but non curable where chances are less could mean u lose ur money and moreover ur child. depending on the from of CHD the basic treatments could cost no less than 1-2 laks indian currency apart from hospital and visitation and test charges. there are schemes various hosp provide that can reduce the cost.

Its tough, things are usually pretty tight. Because of surgeries, medicines, hosptial stays, doctor visits, diagnostic procedures ect. when i go to the cardiologist and get a chest xray, EKG and an ECHO it costs 6000 dollars, my stress test cost close to a 1000, my pulmonologist visit and all the tests cost close to 2000 dollars. A child with CHD will need a cardiologist, some need pulmonologist and some need even more doctors along with the normal GP doctor or pediatrician doctor. Surgeries will cost thousands and thousands of dollars(around 180,000 or 200,000 but surgeries prices differ) Meds can be a couple of hundred to thousands of dollars Hospital visits can be thousands of dollar Having CHD can be Very expensive, and sometimes insurance doesnt cover all the care we need. And these are life long costs, there is NO CURE for congenital heart disease, well some may not need treatment most do. The only treatment is in a form of surgeries, meds and sometimes heart transplants but there is no cure

Why do Americans die more frequently of heart disease than Europeans

Why do Americans die more frequently of heart disease than Europeans?
And don't Europeans smoke and drink more than Americans? Don't Europeans out live Americans? I don't get it.

Fattier foods. The smoking and drinking doesn't do as much as eating unhealthily with no exception as americans do.

americans of the norm are overweight a lot more this is hard on the heart.

Americans have a little problem called OBESITY! We are a bunch of fat-a**es.

It's our diet...more fatty foods; less vegetables/ fruits. Europeans probably walk more than many Americans, also.

I feel its because we are always rushing around trying to find shortcuts and what not. In Europe they take dinning very seriously. They take the time to enjoy what thay are eating in turn care about what goes in them. Not to mention they are very active. Eating to them is pleasurable were is in america it just like puttin your shoes on.

because americans eat crap, in europe there is rarely a huge breakfest or meals based around grain and finely processed food. they eat meat, cheese, whole milk and hardy but less processed. they also eat smaller meals in general. as soon as my parents moved here from europe they both become overweight and unhealthy. its said and they finally realized it.

It's because of diet, It's a major thing that is different to a European lifestyle. But I think the countries with the most deaths from Heart disease are the Eastern European countries such as Ukraine and Bulgaria. I believe this is mainly due to the amount of heaving smoking that goes on in these countries
