Gentleman in Mexico recently made the news again because he was down to 540 lbs from 1100 lbs or something like that . You do NOT necessarily die from it , you just get bigger and bigger Until your skeleton / muscles can't support your body fat so you just lie in bed . The REAL question is , How Long until you are bed bound and make the news because the ambulance had to forklift you out and use a special truck to get you to the hospital ? Which local news would your debut be on

What is your opinion on the belief that chlorine in tap water is the cause heart disease or atherosclerosis

What is your opinion on the belief that chlorine in tap water is the cause heart disease or atherosclerosis?
Does ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, neutralize chlorine or chloramine in tap water? (I think it was Dr. Weston Price that came up with this conclusion) http://www.ilikewater.com/

Tap water produced by municipalities is tested on a constant basis to insure safety. Those who can taste chlorine in the water need only to let the water stand uncovered for a few moments and the chlorine taste will disappear. The cause of heart disease is not drinking enough water - chronic unintentional dehydration. Atherosclerosis - or plaque build up - is actually beneficial to the body. There is no such thing as "bad cholesterol". This is just a term that has been capitalized on by the pharmaceutical industry to push their products. When you become dehydrated, the blood becomes acidic with toxins. As the blood passes through the lungs, it becomes even more dehydrated when additional moisture is lost through respiration. It then enters the arteries with a shearing effect that causes minute tears and abrasions to the artery walls. To prevent this damage from peeling away and causing an embolism in the brain or lung or other major organ, the body produces the so-called "bad" cholesterol to cover and protect the damaged areas until they can be repaired. Correcting the dehydration by increasing the water and salt intake will allow the immune system to heal the damaged areas, thereby reducing the cholesterol levels

Cardiovascular diseases * Claimed 871,500,000 lives in 2004 (36.3 percent of all deaths or 1 of every 2.8 deaths). * Other 2004 mortality: total cancer 550,270; accidents 108,694; HIV (AIDS) 12,995. * Over 147,000 Americans killed by CVD are under age 65. * 2004 death rates from CVD were 335.7 for white males and 448.9 for black males; for white females 239.3 and for black females 331.6. (Death rates are per 100,000 population. The rates listed use the year 2000 standard U.S. population as the base for age adjustment.) * From 1994 to 2004, death rates from CVD declined 25 percent. * In the same 10-year period the actual number of deaths declined 8 percent. Coronary heart disease Coronary heart disease is caused by atherosclerosis (ath"er-o-skleh-RO'sis), the narrowing of the coronary arteries due to fatty build ups of plaque. It's likely to produce angina pectoris (chest pain), heart attack or both. * Coronary heart disease caused about 452,300 deaths in 2004 and is the single leading cause of death in America today. * 15,800,000 people alive today have a history of heart attack, angina pectoris or both. This is about 8,500,000 males and 7,200,000 females. * This year an estimated 1.2 million Americans will have a new or recurrent coronary attack. * About 325,000 people a year die of coronary attack in an Emergency Department or without being hospitalized. Most of these are sudden deaths caused by cardiac arrest, usually resulting from ventricular fibrillation (ven-TRIK'u-ler fib"rih-LA'shun). * From 1994 to 2004 the death rate from coronary heart disease declined 33 percent. * In 2004, coronary heart disease death rates per 100,000 people were 194.4 for white males and 222.2 for black males; and 115.4 for white females and 148.6 for black females. (Death rates are per 100,000 population. The rates use the year 2000 standard population for age adjustment.) Prevalence — The total number of cases of a given disease existing in a population at a specific point in time. All the best!!! http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=4478

According to the areticle below only 36% are free of risk factors, so that means that 64% are at risk. So your chance of getiing heart disease is 64 in 100, thats pretty high!
